Mangold Graphics Logo

The Process
With senior year incoming and a job hunt on the horizon I knew I would need to reinvent myself and create a brand I could easily market. I decided to choose the name Mangold Graphics because Mangold is my last name (and I think it sounds sick) and M/G are two letters I feel like I could really play with in terms of making a fun, legible Logo. I experimented with a few different fonts before coming to Grindhaus Sans which I chose as it is a legible sans-serif that still has a bit of personality in regards to the sholders and terminals of each letters (which would be important for my M/G branding). I eventually came to the color choice of navy blue and yellow as they not only have good contrast with each other, but because they each denote the attitudes I like to bring into a project. The Navy blue is closely associated with professionalism, dependability, and security, things I believe I bring when I work with my clients. On the other hand yellow brings some kinetic energy to the mix and represents my bright personality and penchant for creative solutions to design problems.
